Kobo’s Market

Near Kobo’s Market, the ground around the cache bears the marks of passage. You notice a set of deliberate, careful footprints pressed into the mud, old now, from perhaps a week past. The steps are measured and precise, placed with the kind of practiced awareness that speaks of someone who moves through the world with intention, leaving as little disturbance as possible. But these older prints have been overlaid and obscured by a second set of tracks: chaotic and meandering. Whoever made these prints moved without such care, darting this way and that, circling back on themselves as if in excitement or exploration. The footprints crisscross the area in an almost playful pattern, thoroughly trampling the more deliberate prints beneath them.
